Remember “Making the Band” that Diddy reality… no? Okay, well do you remember Chappelle’s Show?  You bet your sweet ass you do.  Remember that skit where Chapelle plays Dylan and spits hot fire?  It’s the Cambodian breast milk one.  Ahhh…

Well, The Sketch Comedy Show is fixin’ to spit some real comedic hot fire.  I’m talking hot.  Fire hot.  So fans and soon-to-be fans, clear your schedules because September and October are about to spontaneously combust.

We are so proud to announce that we have been selected as semi-finalists for the Improv Olympics West Sketchmatch!  What is Sketchmatch?  We’re glad you asked.  It’s only one of the most brutal head-to-head comedic mêlées this side of the 10 freeway.  Add cheap drinks and a mere $5 cover and you have one rowdy night of laughs.  We need you there!  Audience participation is part of the vote!  Get drunk, get loud and help us get to the FINALS!

iOwest Sketchmatch: 6366 Hollywood Blvd, 90028; Sunday, August 31, 2008, 8 P.M.

We’ve been invited to perform at the legendary Tuesday Night Café on September 2, 2008.  This is one of the venues where we first premiered MC Tiny.  Show starts at 7:30 P.M. at 120 N. Judge John Aiso St, 90012, but you can catch it livestreaming at TNKat.org.

Who loves us?  FPAC loves us, we hope.  At least they love us enough to let us perform for a full 20 minute set at 12:30 P.M.  We know you wanted to head out to San Pedro at least once this year and we know how much you love lumpia, so come watch us.  FPAC 2008, y’all!

FPAC: Point Fermin Park, S. Gaffey St at 807 Paseo Del Mar, San Pedro, 90731

This is huge and you heard it here FIRST –

The Sketch Comedy Show is a final contender for the INTERNATIONAL SKETCH COMEDY CHAMPIONSHIP at the Laugh Factory.  We’re sending out a Save the Date right now to all of you for October 14, 2008 (it’s a Tuesday and you know you ain’t got nothing better to do).  More details will follow, but we’re kinda super stoked.

Laugh Factory: 8001 Sunset Blvd, Hollywood, 90046

We’ve been having a bit of the post-show blues.  We are also recovering from during-performance stress.

But, mostly we miss everyone since we had such a great time at the show.

So in our après performance haze, we’ve been reviewing, with a great deal of nostalgia (ALREADY!), some of our performance pictures.  We’ll admit it.  We kinda get sniffly and maybe a little teary-eyed when we flip through them.  Leave us alone!  We’re sensitive.
